The fate of My Chemical Romance's three-night reunion at Stadium MK remains in the hands of the band, but MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman believes they are likely to be postponed to a later date.

The group are set to return to the stage for three nights in Milton Keynes from June 18-20, but the coronavirus pandemic has thrown those dates into question.

While there has been no news regarding postponement or cancellation, Winkelman says he expects the gigs to go ahead but not on the originally scheduled dates, and insists he will do everything he can to ensure the stadium remains the venue for the concerts.

"It looks increasingly unlikely to be in June because of the lockdown," he said. "But there is nothing I can really say about it because it's a decision to be made by the band and the promoters. We are talking with them all the time, and I'm comfortable that whatever happens, they will be playing in Milton Keynes. Let's see what happens.

"It's a massive thing for us, and it has been so exciting to have a band that can sell out three nights at Stadium MK. We're bending over backwards it can continue to happen in some way."
