Spandau Ballet's Tony Hadley plays at Stowe House

Summer at Stowe promises to be filled with magical musical events.

Spandau Ballet legendary lead singer Tony Hadley will perform in a marquee on the South Front at 7.30pm on Friday May 27, promising an evening of beautiful melodies.

Hadley has earned the accolade of being one of pop music’s greatest vocalists, and he still tours today, with the band and as a solo artist.

In July the music turns to a different genre with jazz and chamber.

Tina May and Friends perform in the State Music Room with an evening of jazz delights. The quartet will play a diverse programme including songs from Tina’s recent albums alongside more familiar standards, approached in unfamiliar ways.

The following evening (7.30pm Sunday July 17)sees performers of a different genre in the State Music Room.

Having captivated audiences with their annual Festive Winter’s evening at Christmas, Brackley Chamber Music Club bring summer alive with a concert of beautiful music with Shakespeare in mind from Elizabethan to modern times. The enchanting programme will include madrigals and instrumental music from Shakespeare’s contemporaries Dowland, Morely and Gibbons, followed by settings of the Bard’s songs and sonnets from more recent composers including Thomas Arne and Vaughan Williams.
