In partnership with The Luna Cinema, FriendsFest is running from August 20-30 at Willen Lake in the town. Here you’ll be able to get together with your friends to enjoy Friends – and make some new ones, too.
The Manhattan-based sitcom, which ran for 10 seasons beginning in 1994, was a worldwide hit, turning actors Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow and Matt LeBlanc into household names. One of the most popular TV shows of all-time, the cast got back together in May 2021 for a special that was watched by well over 5 million viewers in the UK alone.
Tour the set or pop into Central Perk
At FriendsFest, you’ll be able to take part as if you were one of the cast. You’ll be able to drop in at Monica’s apartment, head across the hall to Joey and Chandler’s, stop by Ross’ place, and even visit their favourite hangout, Central Perk, for a cup of coffee.
Not only that, but there’ll be brand new digital photo op experiences, where you can dress up to recreate the iconic “Could I be wearing any more clothes?!” moment, just like Joey Tribbiani in season three. There will also be themed food and drink, and a chance to pick up Friends merchandise.
If that’s not enough, you’ll also be able to recreate the title sequence, enjoy themed food and drink, and you can even take a break to enjoy the sunshine in the company of some of the series’ most memorable moments.
Speaking of which, while you’re waiting for your big FriendsFest moment, you can get in the mood by watching the show every day on Comedy Central UK (Sky channel 112 or Virgin Media channel 132).
The last FriendsFest events sold out quickly, so fans are urged to book fast at www.FriendsFest.co.uk. Make sure to grab your tickets soon to secure your place.
