A new six-week watercolour course launches at Artworks MK on Saturday, with Debi-Sara Wilkinson.

The workshop is suited to beginners and those of you who want to erm, brush up on existing skills.

An introduction to watercolour techniques and an approach to fine art painting through personal development will figure, and you will be using your work to inform further research.

A focus will be placed on personal research and painting from still life.

Casting Light will run on every Saturday, between 10am and midday. The course cost is £85.

Now we aren’t mathematical aces, but that works out at practically £7.08 per hour of tutoring, which is great value.

> While we are on the subject of Artworks, the artistic hub at Parklands in Great Linford has a few more crafty things to share with you this weekend:

On Saturday, a Whittling course will show you the traditional pastime, and you’ll be able to make a number of items using wood, or learn the processes of making a basic ‘wrap pot’.

Both courses run between 10am and 4pm, and both come in at £55.

On Sunday, Sarah Wright will lead a Life Drawing Master Class between 11am and 4pm, for £45.

> A workshop, Advanced Contemporary Lace is also being hosted this Saturday, between 10am and 4pm.

A free workshop, expect places to be snapped up quickly.
