THE seventh annual Stony Words Festival has people minding their Ps and Qs just now. Possibly.
The festival of literary and visual stuff has stuck tight to the original formula, which is good news, seeing as it is a plump mix of poetry, authors, talks and quizzes.
Perhaps you want to have a nibble at the Burns Night supper or maybe try your luck at the Bard To Verse open mic.
Or, would you like to let your ears soak up some dramatic readings from the Acts of the Apostles, or be on site when the official Bard of Stony Stratford is appointed?
There is loads happening– together with the odd bit of Cock & Bull, naturally, with this whole event being organised by the Cock & Bull Society.
Here is a very brief overview of the fun happening this week...
>Exhibition at Stani Gallery (until Jan 30)
Children & Cakes is an exhibition of books and illustrations (like the one on your left, by Kimberly Pope) at The Stani Gallery, featuring works by local authors and illustrators.
Pop along on Saturday and meet those responsible.
>Exhibition at Stony Stratford Library (until Jan 29)
An exhibition of poster art that matches up with the talk on January 26. Entry is free and you can view during normal library hours...remember people, the library is fighting for its life – go and support it. Now.
