IN 2010, AIM art gallery (situated opposite Waitrose in thecentre:mk) delivered an animal themed exhibition that was a huge hit with visitors.

And knowing that you should give the public a little of what they fancy, AIM has decided to reprise Animal Carnival – the curtain rises today.

The show features a fantastic display of arts and crafts themes based on the animal, bird and insect kingdoms.

Paintings, pastels, prints, 3D metal sculptures and stoneware will have representation.

If you make the journey to the gallery, you’ll also be able to take a closer look at this stunning picture of a thorny little fella, and this week’s fabulous puffin GO! cover: “There is something for all tastes and an emotional lift guaranteed for an otherwise dreary time of the year,” says AIMs Georgeanne Scott.

>This Sunday and Tuesday AIM will host animation workshops for eight to 15 year olds. There are 4 workshps, each focusing on a different season.

The will run between 10am and 1pm, and 3-6pm and tickets are £4 each.
