1 THEATRE

ITV’s smash-hit comedy celebrates a decade of fun, having followed the ensemble cast of holidaymakers and staff for 10 series since it first broadcast in 2007. Critically acclaimed, Benidorm has received two National Television Awards a TV Quick Award and nominations at the British Comedy Awards and Baftas. The stage production is written by Derren Litten, who also penned the TV series. He said: “I’m first and foremost a performer so have always been secretly frustrated I couldn’t hear the audience’s laughter. This national tour of Benidorm Live will not only make a long lasting dream come true but will also mean I no longer have to stand in strangers’ gardens listening at their windows at 9 o’clock on cold winter evenings.”

3 BALLET
Manon, Milton Keynes Theatre, October 24 to 27
English National Ballet bring a classic masterpiece to Milton Keynes Theatre, by one of Britain’s leading choreographers. Famous for its expressive choreography and dramatic challenge, Manon features some of the most demanding and fulfilling roles in ballet, bringing period drama to life through dance. The tragic romance tells the tale of the young and naïve Manon, torn between two lives: privilege and opulence with the wealthy Monsieur GM, or innocent love with the penniless student Des Grieux. Wanting it all will be her downfall. Aristocrats, beggars, courtesans and harlots fill the stage to take you from debauchery in 18th-century Paris to a desolate Louisiana swamp, and share with you one of British ballet’s most dramatic stories.
Manon is accompanied by French composer Jules Massenet’s haunting music, performed live.
