At MK Gallery this Saturday night, Arabrot with John Doran will be bring the noise.

John is teaming up with the Norwegian black metal band for an evening of spoken word and music with readings from his book, Jolly Lad.

Expect the unexpected and you’ll be about right.

Also on the billing, live duo Chrononautz, who have spent the past 15 years heavily involved in the murky depths of experiemental art and noise.

Coincidentally, they have stage-shared with Thurston (on the left of this page) too.

Nottingham’s Cantaloupe draw influences from afro-pop to krautrock and the avant garde. Tasty.

Last up, Klaar will wow you with their lo-fi aesthetics, used to construct skewed pop music and ambient environments.

> Cafe Lounge in Wolverton presents a night of unplugged local talents on Saturday.

Getting busy after 6pm will be Starlings and Sparrows, Chris Murphy, Tanith Corinne, George Rose and Jet Lagged Jeff with more to be added.

Entry is free and it’s a family friendly joint before 8pm
