US country-folk duo Dead Rock West will release their second album, Bright Morning Stars next month.

But you don’t need to wait quite as long to hear the material – they will unleash it in the live on Saturday evening when they play at Tingewick Village Hall.

The collection of faith-based songs kick started a new chapter for DRW, who had toured and worked constantly since the release of their debut opus Honey and Salt.

“It got me all excited about music again,” said Cindy Wasserman, who is Dead Rock West alongside Frank Lee Drennan.

Some of the best hill stomping music you’ll hear west of Texarkana is promised...

Support at the show comes from Janet Robin (far right), playing just the one show in the UK.

A former pupil of Randy Rhoads, she then became lead guitarist with girl rock mob Precious Metal. Since then?

She joined Fleetwook Mac fella Lindsay Buckingham’s band, worked on her own solo slabs and frankly has packed away so much stuff, that we don’t have the time or space to tell you the lot, here and now.

But she has worked with Heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson, Anne McCue, Meredith Brooks and Melissa Etheridge, and more recently hit the road as a member of Air Supply.

What a double bill this is!

Doors open at 8pm, tickets are £13 in advance, £15 on the door. Go get ‘em.
