You might know Daniel Leigh as the frontman with New Device, the Brit rock troupe who battled for the title of Best New band at the 2009 Classic Rock Awards.
As it turned out, they didn’t take the gong, losing out at the last hurdle to Joe Satriani and Chad Smith from the Chili Peppers.
Pedigree players, at least.
Now though, Daniel is juggling his rock roots with a solo career, and it is that solo side that finds him in Newport Pagnell tomorrow night, when he plays at The Watershed in Tickford Arcade.
Apparently, this new turn ‘touches deeply on personal beliefs and experience bringing to light a calmer, gentler but by no means any less passionate side in his ever expanding journey within music.’
Take a ticket on the door for £3 if you make it along before 10pm.
Arrive later and it’ll not break the bank either, at just £4.
IN Bedford, Saturday night at The Pad belongs to Adam Ant. Yup, the Dandy Highwayman is coming out to play with his new troupe The Good, The Bad and the Lovely Posse.
Thirty-five years since he first gave the music scene palpitations, and following a lengthy break from the industry, and the Ant is back.
Press reaction has been sweet in light of his emergence, too.
‘A liberating call to arms, full of fantasy, imagination and creativity,’ reckoned The Guardian after a performance.
Tickets are £22.50 +b/f.
