City Nights brings you sad news this week – with the announcement that Fell Silent have called time on their career.
In a statement, the band said: "It is with heavy hearts but clear heads that we announce this is the end.
"There is no big dramatic story to tell, but after seven years of putting everything we had into this band, we've simply all moved on and are taking our musical creativity into new and exciting projects.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who showed us amazing support that we were lucky enough to experience in our time together as a band.
"We'd also like to send a special thanks to our close friends and families who stuck with us from the very beginning as well as all the bands we toured with, especially Enter Shikari who treated us like brothers."
In their seven years or so at work, the band made quality impact on the scene and broke through Stateside where the guys enjoyed a sweet following and inked a record deal to boot.
Signed on these shores to Basick Records, their legacy will be the debut album The Hidden Words.
Singer Neema and guitarist Browne will now focus on their Monuments project, guitarist Acle will carry on in the ranks of TesseracT, vocalist Joe is working on The Sonick Movement project and drummer Noddy is based at London's DrumTech where things are going sweetly.
It might be the end of one era, but is also the start of a new exciting time for those who brought the noise.
