Calling all vinyl lovers...Oxfam Olney has a lot of what you want!
Calling all vinyl lovers...Oxfam Olney has a lot of what you want!

With vinyl sales on the rise, more and more music fans gravitating towards physical releases, and the recent success of Record Store Day nationwide, we should also praise the efforts of the Oxfam store in Olney, which is doing a fabulous job working with second hand vinyl.

Situated just off the High Street, the store is brimming with vinyl wonders, and you can forget all about tatty copies of 1970s’ Top of the Pops compilations andbattered Mrs Mills releases dumped on the floor.

This branch takes a pride in its records, celebrates them, and invites you to do the same.

On Sunday, the shop is holding a record fair with hundreds in the racks at bargain prices.

Furthermore, it will be celebrating arguably the best Led Zeppelin album of all, IV.

The critically acclaimed disc was the sound of an innovative rock band at their peak, and 40 years on, remains a cut above the rest.

The release will be played from start to finish, with a promise that the volume will be turned up for the duration.

If it’s been a long time since YOU rock ‘n’ rolled, and if you want to swell your vinyl collection this weekend, there is only one place to go...and all monies raised go to support Oxfam of course, an organisation dedicated to finding solutions to poverty and suffering around the world.

It’s a win-win.
