OU Film reaches season end

The current season of Open Film Society screenings draws to a close this Wednesday evening with the English film, The Homesman (inset).

Mary Bee Cuddy (played by Hilary Swank) bravely volunteers to transport three women from Nebraska back east to Iowa.

The women have become mentally ill from the rigours and brutality of frontier life. On the way she enlists the help of ‘homesman’ George Briggs, played by Tommy Lee Jones, and who also directed the work.
