THE Moscow State Circus are back in the UK, with a cast of Russia’s greatest, critically acclaimed performers ready to cut loose with performances of Legenda – catch them at Milton Keynes Theatre from Wednesday.
Legenda pushes the boundary of human physical ingenuity to the maximum, as the world’s most famous circus collides with the legendary Russian folklore figure Rasputin.
There are plenty of groups claiming circus class like this, but few can dazzle you like the Moscow State Circus do.
As for Rasputin? He was often called a romantic, a mystic and a visionary and we have it on good authority that each of those words could be used to describe the show waiting for you this week.
Rasputin’s vivid dreams will form the theme of the event which will be awash with Grade A talent and state of the art special effects.
Anything less and it simply wouldn’t be the Moscow State, now would it?
This newly devised show will include body twisting contortionists, award-winning clowns and the crossbow act of The Popazovs.
If you want to see a wife shoot an apple off her husband’s head from seven simultaneous crossbows (and who doesn’t?), you will have your fancy catered for.
We presume that any marital arguments are sorted out well in advance of the curtain rising on these performances...
Tickets for what promises to be a truly sensational night out start at just £10 and rise up to £28.
Shows run as follows: Wednesday & Thursday (7.30pm), Friday (5 & 8pm) , Saturday (2.30 & 7.30pm) and Sunday (2 & 5pm).
Call the box office and get sorted on 0844 871 7652.
> Before all of the dynamic action from Russia, there is still time to catch Chess at MK Theatre.
The classic musical starring James Fox and Shona White continues through to Saturday night, and then it’ll be a case of checkmate and show over.
