COUNT Arthur Strong is heading to Milton Keynes Theatre on Monday night, for Command Performance, writes Sammy Jones.
He will bring the performance, and you are asked to follow the command – get your Maltesers out, roll your trouser legs up and sit back and enjoy the show.
We can’t tell you too much about this performance, but have it on good authority that you won’t have seen anything like it...
Tickets are all set at £17, and Mr Strong will achieve that difficult feat of making you laugh, even on a dreary Monday.
And that has got to be worth a bob or two...
Show time is 8pm.
>From Wednesday, Welsh National Opera take over with a four day session of world class deliveries, beginning with Die Fledermaus, Strauss’ comic operatta set in the affluent surroundings of Viennese high society, at the exclusive Prince Orlofsky’s Ball.
Prepare to be whipped into a Viennese whirl!
All players must keep their identities hidden, but by the end of the night, masks will be lifted, identities shown, and truths revealed...
Opulence, elegance and sheer frivolity will rule at this show.
A second chance to view presents itself on Friday evening.
On Thursday and Saturday, Verdi’s Il Trovatore is the big draw.
This is the story of how past actions can haunt the next generation, and shows Italian opera at its most passionate and full blooded.
It comes with a terrific amount of memorable choruses and equally appealing arias which will spin the audience through the tale of vengeance with sure and certain power.
Tickets begin at £17 and rise to £46.
Pre-show and post-performance talks are available.
