Milton Keynes clinic founded by two sisters launches new sleep service as adults struggle to get a good night’s rest
Makewell, the Bradwell Abbey clinic run by sisters Jane Lambert and Sophie McCracken, opens a private service to help adults with insomnia and poor sleep, with no GP referral or waiting list.

Adults in Milton Keynes who struggle to fall asleep, stay asleep or wake feeling rested can now get specialist help closer to home. Makewell, the clinic founded by sisters Jane Lambert, a registered nurse, and Sophie McCracken, a paramedic, has launched a private sleep service for anyone aged 18 and over living with insomnia or poor sleep.
Poor sleep affects mood, concentration, work and relationships, yet many people put up with it for years. Makewell’s service gives them a direct route to expert, personal support.

Jane Lambert, co-founder of Makewell, said: “So many people tell us they’ve just learned to live with being exhausted. They’ve tried every tip online and nothing sticks. Sleep isn’t a luxury. It’s the foundation of our mental and physical health, and everyone deserves proper help to get it back.
“My sister and I set up Makewell because we wanted to create the kind of care we’d want for our own families: personal, practical and without the long wait. We already support many young people whose sleep is affected by ADHD, autism, anxiety or hormonal changes. This new service opens that expertise to any adult in Milton Keynes who is struggling.”
The service begins with a sleep assessment to understand what is keeping each person awake. Makewell’s team then builds a personal plan, which may include practical changes to routine and environment, short-term medication if clinically indicated, and follow-up support.
The first consultation costs £45 and can take place face to face or by video. Most people need no more than four consultations, and many need fewer.
No GP referral is needed. To book a sleep assessment, call 01908 731293, email [email protected] or visit wemakewell.co.uk.
