Milton Keynes-based martial arts business, Proaction Martial Arts & Fitness announces charitable plans for 2026.

Proaction Martial Arts & Fitness is kicking into high gear with a packed programme of free workshops, school outreach, festive fundraising and the first big reveal of its 2026 Charity Awards Night. All designed to boost confidence, wellbeing and positive values across its rapidly expanding franchise network, the new initiatives showcase Proaction’s mission to uplift families and communities both on – and far beyond – the mats.

The season kicked off with a free two-hour anti-bullying workshop on 16th November at Proaction Brackmills, Northampton. Open to non-members, parents, siblings and friends, the session focused on confidence, awareness, and positive communication.

The initiative reflects the brand’s wider commitment to supporting safer, more confident schools and home environments. “Helping young people feel empowered, understood and equipped is at the core of what we do,” said founder and chief instructor Tom Nicholson. “Instructors will also be delivering free anti-bullying and confidence-building sessions in local schools over the coming weeks.

“Together, we hope these efforts strengthen our role as a trusted youth development and wellbeing partner in the communities we serve.”

And in true festive style, Proaction is cranking up the colour, creativity and community spirit with its biggest-ever Christmas Jumper Day across all locations.

The entire Proaction network is being encouraged to swap their uniforms and hoodies for the loudest, brightest and most brilliantly bonkers jumpers they can find. From flashing LEDs to tinsel-covered knits, Proaction training venues are set to transform into a winter wonderland of festive fun – all in support of Save the Children.

Looking ahead to the new year, Proaction – the franchise industry’s only British Franchise Association approved martial arts franchise – has announced early details for its 2026 Charity Awards Night. Taking place on Saturday 7th February at Franklin Gardens, the home of Northampton Saints RFC, the annual celebration honours standout Proaction members across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and the Midlands.

The event’s headline sponsor is Wilson Browne Solicitors, and VIP guest Luke Chadwick – former Manchester United footballer and head of the Football Fun Factory franchise – will join the celebrations.

“It’s a real honour to be invited as the VIP guest to the Proaction Martial Arts Awards Night,” said Luke. “Having met Tom and Jas and seeing the incredible work they do, which aligns so much with our vision and purpose at the Football Fun Factory, I’m really looking forward to what’s set to be a brilliant event – and to helping raise funds for some amazing organisations both here at home and overseas.”

“Community initiatives sit right at the heart of Proaction,” added co-founder Jas Nicholson. “Whether it’s giving families and local kids the tools to feel safer, raising money for a brilliant cause or simply bringing people together, it’s all about building confidence, connection and positive values that go far beyond our venues.”

For Tom, this approach will only benefit their ever-growing franchise network. “It’s really powerful. It strengthens local relationships, helps us stand out in each community and sets our franchisees up for long-term success – all while keeping things fun, positive and full of team spirit!
