Another Coronavirus-linked death confirmed in Milton Keynes, but new case numbers remain low

There were 20 new Coronavirus cases confirmed in the area today, a slight increase from yesterday's total of 17.

The new death confirmed in Milton Keynes, is just the third death linked to the virus in a seven day period, but it does mean 461 people have been killed by Covid in the city.

The infection rate in Milton Keynes continues to fall, currently it stands at 69 cases per 100,000 people.

Nationally, the infection rate is fractionally lower at 59.1 cases per 100,000.

In the UK 6,303 new Coronavirus cases were confirmed today, 95 deaths were recorded.
