Masks are being provided at Milton Keynes Market today by Covid-19 Community Champions.

Organised by Milton Keynes Council with financial support from the Government Community Champions, offer information and advice regarding vaccinations.

The Government earmarked £23 million nationally to schemes such as this one, ran by volunteers and councils, to encourage sceptics and those with doubts to get jabbed.

Daily figures show 32,190,576 first doses of the vaccine have been administered across the UK. The latest government updates shows 7,656,205 people in the UK have been fully vaccinated.

In Milton Keynes the vaccine take up has been strong with over 140,000 total cumulative vaccines administered in the borough.

Other Council led schemes ongoing in Milton Keynes, includes the provision of rapid Coronavirus tests, which have been made available for collection at the Central Library.

Whilst libraries across Milton Keynes reopened today, as part of the nationwide easing of restrictions. The Central Library will continue in its current iteration as a rapid testing centre for all asymptomatic Milton Keynes residents.
