Number of new Coronavirus cases in Milton Keynes rises for the second day running
The number of new Covid cases in Milton Keynes has risen again keeping the borough's infection rate above the national average
The number of new Coronavirus cases announced today (March 12) has risen to 54 from the 32 reported yesterday.
The 32 reported on Thursday was an increase from just 21 new cases confirmed on Wednesday.
For the third successive day nobody has died within 28 days of returning a positive Covid test in Milton Keynes.
The current infection rate for Milton Keynes stands at 70.5 cases per 100,000 people. The national infection rate has dropped to 59.4 cases per 100,000.
Uk figures for the past 24 hours reveal 6,609 new positive tests for Covid and 175 deaths linked to the virus.
