MPs and councillors are being invited to an anti-lockdown demonstration in Milton Keynes this month.

Hosted by Independent Concerned Residents of the Borough of Milton Keynes, the public meeting will take place at noon on Friday, August 21 outside the offices of Milton Keynes Council in Saxon Gate East.

According to the group, it wants to debate its concerns about "the differences between what we are being told about our national and global circumstances, and what we believe is the truth".

And added: "We are conscious of the divided opinion in our country and our town concerning Covid-19, related vaccination, related lockdown and related job furlough. We believe that much of what purports to be fact in these contexts, is little more than propaganda."

Invited speakers already include: Dr Mohammad Iqbal, Fellow of The Royal College of Surgeons of UK; Piers Corbyn director of WeatherAction; Jill Gardner, Milton Keynes resident; and Milton Keynes businessman Jeff Wyatt.
