Good Samaritan donates tools to Milton Keynes man whose beloved garden shed he built during lockdown was destroyed by fire
A Good Samaritan has kindly donated tools to a Milton Keynes man whose beloved garden shed, which he built during the Covid lockdown, was destroyed by fire.
The MK Citizen reported last week about the fire at a property on Goddards Croft in Wolverton on Saturday July 11, which Bucks Fire and Rescue Service said involved a shed and multiple fence panels.
The shed, which contained tools valued at around £5,000, was destroyed by the blaze.
The man whose shed was lost to the fire wished to remain anonymous, but his family told us that it contained a large collection of tools collected down the years, from time spent on woodwork projects as a hobby.

The man was out of the property at the time of the incident and a neighbour rescued his dog as the house became engulfed in smoke.
After reading the MK Citizen’s story, a donor – who also wishes to remain anonymous – contacted us saying he wanted to help, and has now made a contribution to the victim in his hour of need.
The Good Samaritan told us: “I saw the victim had lost everything and I know how it feels to lose your tools.
“I helped him with a sander, screwdrivers, a few ratchets, sockets, wall plugs, hammer and tape measure.
“I hope it will help him get back on his feet and I have also offered to help rebuild a new shed.”
