How many IKEA meatballs can you eat? That's the question as Milton Keynes store launches £5 all-you-can eat offer
IKEA in Milton Keynes is offering diners the chance to eat as many meatballs as they can for a fiver.
They are staging a one-night-only ‘Eatball Buffet’ serving up unlimited helpings of the iconic meatballs for IKEA Family members.
Adults will pay £5 and children just £1.
The event will be held on Thursday September 24 and is aimed to give hungry customers the chance to go bottomless on their favourite Swedish staple without their bank balance taking a beating.

IKEA is promising diners the full VIP treatment, complete with velvet ropes, entry stamps, wristbands and a meatball-themed photo backdrop.
Keeping watch over the evening will be IKEA’s very own Meatball Bouncer, stationed at the door to dish out wristbands for the meatball-filled festivities.
Celebrating the evolution of IKEA’s most iconic food offering, the bottomless feast includes the classic OG Swedish meatball served with mash or chips, peas, cream sauce and lingonberry jam. Also on offer is IKEA’s chicken meatballs, plant balls, or crunchy falafel balls with all the iconic trimmings – plus soft drinks, tea or filter coffee.
Those heading to store can also make the most of IKEA’s New Lower Prices across hundreds of iconic products, including storage heroes like the KALLAX shelving unit, down 18% from £60 to £49, and the popular space-saving HEMNES daybed, reduced by 15% from £329 to just £279, alongside 1,000 exclusive in-store only prices too.
Meatball fanatics can pre-book an Eatball Buffet ticket via the events page of their local participating store, or simply turn up and pay at checkout on the night. Tickets are £5 for IKEA Family members (£1 for kids), or £6.95 for adults and £2.95 for kids for those who are not members.
IKEA meatballs, sold under the HUVUDROLL brand name, are a global culinary icon served in IKEA restaurants and sold frozen in the Swedish Food Market. The traditional recipe is made from a seasoned blend of beef and pork.
The world record for eating the most IKEA meatballs in one minute is 29, set by Japanese competitive eater Takeru Kobayashi on March 8, 2010.
He ate 29 IKEA meatballs in 60 seconds, equating to one every two seconds, at an event held in New York.
