Milton Keynes creche closes doors despite parents plea to remain open
A popular creche at a Milton Keynes leisure centre is set to close, causing frustration and concern for a number of local parents.
Nuffield Health has announced that its crèche will close its doors from Sunday, July 5, despite members' pleas for it to reconsider its decision.

The organisation wrote a notice to members saying that the decision follows a decline in numbers and the creche is ‘no longer sustainable’.
The note by Nuffield Health added: “The space will be repurposed to support services that benefit a broader range of members.”
“We want to sincerely thank our incredible childcare team for their dedication and care, they’ve made a lasting impact on our community.”
Before the notice was shared, a group of local parents using the creche urged Nuffield health to reconsider its decision to close the facility.
They described the creche as an invaluable resource allowing parents and carers to pursue their health and wellness goals. The petition had received 327 signatures.
After hearing the news that the creche will indeed be closing this Sunday, local parent and creche user Lauren Harrison said: “I have no words. My family and so many other families are totally heartbroken.
“We have been left in the lurch right before the summer holidays too. It’s a completely heartless move especially with giving such short notice.”
