Milton Keynes GP surgery closes due to "confirmed case of coronavirus" today

Hilltops Medical Centre at Great Holm put out a statement today saying: "Due to a confirmed case of Coronavirus we have had to close the surgery for a deep clean until further notice as per public health advice. "This means we have had to cancel all of today's appointments. "

It adds: "An individual who has been identified as a Covid-19 case has recently attended Hilltops. To protect other patients and members of the public and in line with Public Health England (PHE) guidance, Hilltops is closed for cleaning to remove any potential risk for patients.

"Once the cleaning is complete, the practice will advise patients when we will re-open. Patients and staff can be reassured that their safety is the top priority, and patients are encouraged to attend all appointments as usual unless told otherwise."

The pharmacy has also to close for a deep clean.
