Milton Keynes ranks among most affordable places for Indian takeaways
There’s no doubt that Milton Keynes has a great selection of takeaways from almost every cuisine - but how does the cost compare to other areas across the UK?
With 550,000 searches a month for “takeaway near me” in the UK, there’s no denying Brits love a good takeaway.
A cheeky curry seems to be the preferred option for many, with nearly 8 million Brits choosing it as their favourite takeaway, according to a recent survey by credit card brand Aqua.
But depending on where you live in the UK, that tempting Indian takeaway could cost you more than expected.

Aqua analysed the average cost of the UK’s most popular takeaway options in cities across the country to reveal the cost of a typical Friday night takeaway.
Milton Keynes ranks the UK’s fourth-most affordable city for an Indian takeaway, with a curry costing an average of just £10.37.
Birmingham takes the top spot (£9.19), followed by Sunderland (£9.74) and Leeds (£10.06).
Belfast is the most expensive city for a curry, with an average price of £14.99, almost £6 more than Birmingham. London (£13.86) and Glasgow (£13.47) follow.
Aqua also surveyed 2,000 UK adults aged 18+ to uncover their habits, preferences, as well as the financial impact of regular takeaway consumption.
It found that the average UK adult orders a takeaway twice a month. According to the results, Indian food is the UK’s third-favourite takeaway cuisine, with nearly eight million Brits naming it their favourite, behind pizza in second and Chinese in first.
