Milton Keynes theme park charity weekend with Willen Hospice

A charity weekend at Gulliver’s Land theme park offers families a fun-packed adventure, while helping raise funds for Willen Hospice.

The special weekend in support of the hospice takes place on Saturday and Sunday, September 19-20.

Standard entry to the Milton Keynes theme park over that weekend costs just £17 per person, with £2.50 of each ticket sold donated to Willen Hospice.

The hospice is the only adult care hospice in Milton Keynes, with 170 staff and more than 600 volunteers providing palliative and end-of-life care, free of charge, to people living with a life-limiting illness.

Run by local people for local people, Willen relies on donations to provide these services to patients and their families.

Situated alongside Willen Lake with its beautiful views, the setting is a tranquil place for patients and their loved ones to make the most of their time left together.

Sue Conway, resort director at Gulliver’s Land, said: “We have supported Willen for a number of years now, with last year’s charity weekend raising a significant amount for the hospice.

"We would love to raise as much as possible, so we need lots of wonderful families to come along over the two days and enjoy a fantastic adventure.”

Visitors to the theme park for charity weekend will find more than 50 fantastic rides, attractions, shows and activities.

These include the Runaway Train, Jungle River Ride, Dragon Siege 360-degree pendulum, and the Grand Prix Racers rollercoaster, while exciting recent additions are the Upside Down House and the Wriggler ride.

And why not take the opportunity and book in for an overnight stay at Gulliver’s Land, so that you can enjoy the theme park on both days.

There is a selection of accommodation options, from Princess Suites to Dinosaur and Unicorn-themed lodges, and Western Lodges to Woodland Lodges.
