MK Citizen officially backs Milton Keynes’ City of Culture bid
The Government has launched a bid to find the UK’s City of Culture - with a £10 million prize up for grabs for the winner.
Milton Keynes is on an exciting journey, bidding to be the next UK City of Culture. To stay in the running, the city council is working hard to showcase all things Milton Keynes, but it needs your help.
The aim of the campaign is to bring in local investment and create a lasting sense of pride, as well as opening doors to the arts for everyone.
We have so much to shout about on our doorstep, and this is a great opportunity to champion what makes our local community special..
Winning the £10 million would be brilliant - but just being one of the nominated cities, taking part in the contest, putting our city in the spotlight and showing the rest of the country what we have to offer is a prize in itself.
