Plans unveiled to build 66 council flats, houses and bungalows on demolished Milton Keynes site

Proposals have been put forward to build 66 council flats, houses and bungalows on a former sheltered housing site in Milton Keynes.

Milton Keynes Council (MKC), which submitted the planning application, has outlined its proposals to build the social housing on top of the former Cripps Lodge estate, in Netherfield.

The homes, according to MKC, will be a mix of two and three bedroom bungalows, three, four and five bedroom houses, and one and two bedroom apartments.

According to the application, the breakdown of types of houses means there could be 12 one-bed flats, 12 two-bed flats, two two-bed houses/bungalows, 28 three-bed houses/bungalows and 12 4/5-bed homes/bungalows.

A total of 143 parking spaces have been earmarked for the site, which is an extra 89 spots to what is available on the site now (54).

On Thursday, September 10, a video was posted on Twitter showing workers demolishing the Cripps Lodge site to make way for the homes.
