Martin isn’t expecting an easy afternoon against Swindon
With Swindon scrapping to remain in the division this afternoon, and coming off a tremendous 3-1 win over Portsmouth in midweek, Russell Martin is under no illusions his MK Dons side can brush aside the Robins as they did at the County Ground back in December when they ran out 4-1 winners.
“Swindon’s win gives them a lot of belief,” said the manager. “It’s going to be another really tough game that we’ve got to try turn into a game we want.
“We had a good result against them last time out, but I didn’t feel great about the performance. We have to be really careful and cautious.
“Our guys are hungry and know it’s going to be tough, they’ve scored in each of their last six away games and we have to negate the test they present.”
Several players up for grabs this summer

With a handful of games remaining this season, eyes are beginning to turn towards next season and the players who Russell Martin will be building his squad around.

Dons face another relegation struggler at Stadium MK
Anything but a win for Swindon this afternoon will likely spell the end of their time in League One. Starting the day second from bottom, they are seven points from safety. Wigan take on Burton this afternoon too, and if Swindon cannot better the Latics’ result, they’ll be back in League Two.
Dons meanwhile are up into the top 10 after beating Bristol Rovers in the week, who dropped below Swindon to the foot of the table as a result, are will be eager to make it three wins in a row.
