Sullay Kaikai’s first goal since joining the club from Wycombe Wanderers in January saw Dons take a 25th minute lead but Dons should have had the game wrapped up at the break, such was their control.
The second-half though saw Oxford dominate, with Dons distinctly off-the-pace compared to Karl Robinson’s side, who drew level through Lewis Bate with 20 minutes remaining.
Here’s how we rated the players.
5. Daniel Harvie - 6
A pretty quite and uneventful outing for the left-back Photo: Jane Russell
6. Top Don: Josh McEachran - 8
The stand-out for a second game in a row. Ran the show from Dons' perspective, sprayed passes left and right in the first-half particularly, and the side lost their way a bit when he came off. Photo: Jane Russell
7. Paris Maghoma - 7.5
A strong showing alongside McEachran. Battled well, won good tackles and broke up play but had to be on his best behaviour later in the game after a booking and a further warning Photo: Jane Russell
8. Dawson Devoy - 7.5
Linked up really well with Eisa in the first-half especially Photo: Jane Russell
