Sullay Kaikai’s first goal since joining the club from Wycombe Wanderers in January saw Dons take a 25th minute lead but Dons should have had the game wrapped up at the break, such was their control.
The second-half though saw Oxford dominate, with Dons distinctly off-the-pace compared to Karl Robinson’s side, who drew level through Lewis Bate with 20 minutes remaining.
Here’s how we rated the players.
9. Sullay Kaikai - 6.5
Took his first Dons goal really well. Drew a lot of fouls but didn't see lots of the ball down his flank Photo: Jane Russell
10. Jonathan Leko - 7
An exciting performance, though the final product was lacking - be it crosses missing their targets or missing a couple of good chances Photo: Jane Russell
11. Mo Eisa - 7
Had a good first-half with a few sights of goal. Played a key part in Kaikai's goal but will have wanted to put away at least one of his chances Photo: Jane Russell
12. Sub: Bradley Johnson - 6.5
Came on and nearly made an immediate impression by creating a chance for Eisa. Gave Bate half-a-yard which he took to score though Photo: Jane Russell
