We take a look back through some of the former Dons bosses and their assistants and what they have been up to since leaving Stadium MK.
9. Karl Robinson
Dons' longest serving manager departed after six-and-a-half years in 2016 but quickly bounced back into football management with Charlton. After 18 months at The Valley, he departed for Oxford United where he remains. Missing out on a second promotion to the Championship in 2020 in the play-off final, Robbo then missed out in the play-offs a year later, but missed out on the final day of reaching the top six last term. 10. Mick Harford
Brought in as Karl Robinson's assistant in 2012, Harford was at the club for just a year before moving to Millwall to become assistant manager at The Dell, and then Head of Scouting. The former Luton striker then returned to Kenilworth Road in the recruitment department, but took over as caretaker manager when Nathan Jones left for Stoke. Under Harford, Luton stormed to the Championship, and he won EFL Manager of the Year in the process. 11. Gary Waddock
After less than a season as Karl Robinson's assistant in 2013/14, Waddock returned to management with Oxford United in March 2014, but after losing seven of eight games and missing out on the play-offs, he was sacked. Waddock then took coaching jobs at Barnet, Portsmouth, Aldershot, Southend and Cambridge United, where he is now assistant manager to Mark Bonner Photo: Pete Norton
12. Robbie Neilson
Sacked after 14 months at Stadium MK with the club in the League One relegation zone, Neilson returned to Scotland where he took over as Dundee United boss leading them triumphantly to the Scottish Premier Leagueplay-offs but he left in favour of returning to Hearts following their relegation to the Championship.
