Jack Meijer running for the University of Wisconsin, competed in a super-fast 1500m race at an open meeting in Minneapolis.

In a field of nine starters, five from the University of Wisconsin and four from Minnesota, Jack followed the pacemaker through 300m (8th in 44.93) and 700m (6th in 1:45.58), before moving up the field into third place at the bell (3rd in 2:47.02). In a ferocious last lap, covered by Jack in 58.08, he finished fourth in 3:45.08, knocking over two seconds off Marcin Fudalej’s club record, set in 2009.

Lara Moffat(F20) was invited to take part in an elite Field Events meeting at Lee Valley and responded with a PB of almost 2m in the 4kg hammer, recording 53.06m. Lara is just 1.61m shy of Kayleigh Presswell’s Club F20 Hammer Record.

Multi-eventer, Hayley Dimond (F17) took part in two events at an open meeting in Northampton, recording a personal best in the Long Jump with 4.72m and throwing the javelin 27.09m

Millie, Leo and Zak Freeland were all in action at an open meeting in Harrow, racing over 1500m. Millie ducked under 5 minutes for the first time (4.59.15), while there was also a PB for Zak (4.06.99]), elder brother Leo clocked 4.05.28

Four MMK runners were involved in a series of 5km races over the roads around Prestwold Hall near Loughborough Three came away with personal bests. Elliot Hind (MS) 16:11, Galen Butler (M20) 17:10 (pb), Harry Totton (M17) 17:52 (pb) and Maddie Pearce (F15) 18:42 (pb)
