Hadjar calls upon MotoGP champ Marquez for advice on injury

The Red Bull Racing man sought advice from a two-wheeled legend

Injured Isack Hadjar sought help from a motorcycling world champion as he continues to recover from an arm injury.

The Red Bull Racing man has missed the last three Grand Prix for the Milton Keynes team, citing an injured wrist suffered during F1’s summer break.

Arm injuries are no stranger to MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez, who has suffered countless in the last few years, keeping him out of championship contention for the majority of the campaigns since a crash at Spanish circuit Jerez in 2020 before winning his seventh title last season.

Last week, Marquez posted a picture on Instagram, showing the tolls surgeries have taken on his right arm, with his own doctor admitting the Spaniard, who claimed the lead in the 2026 world championship with victory at the San Marino Grand Prix on Sunday, is only operating at 50 per cent through his arm now.

Speaking after his win, Marquez said the French F1 driver had been in contact about his recovery. And his advice was to take his time in coming back and not to rush back prematurely.

“Hadjar contacted me,” the Spanish rider said. “I'm not a doctor, of course, but just for advice.

“Because sometimes for a rider, or a driver in this case, it's super difficult because sometimes you feel that okay, maybe you can. But it's difficult to accept that, 'Okay, I will skip this race and I will prepare myself in a better way for the next one'. And it's just what I said

“I learned in the past that missing one race will not change your life. Missing, or worsening your injury because you ride too early, can change your life.

“My life changed a lot since the Jerez injury. So yeah, I just tried to give that advice to Hadjar, and I think he took the correct decision because he has a long career in front [of him].”
