"They're the best part": What F1 star Yuki Tsunoda loves the most about Milton Keynes
The Red Bull Racing reserve driver loves what so many people hate about Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes is no stranger to being the butt of the joke, whether it’s the Concrete Cows, the football club or 130+ roundabouts to keep the city moving above a snail’s pace. And for one F1 driver, that is his favourite part.
Yuki Tsunoda is no stranger to the new city, having lived here during his junior formula years before moving up to the pinnacle of motorsport in 2021 with Alpha Tauri - junior team to MK’s Red Bull Racing.
Having driven at the top level in open-wheeled motorsport, he is no stranger to racing lines and the quickest way around a corner, something he said he has been able to do around the grid roads.
“The roundabouts are the best part!” said the Red Bull Racing reserve driver when speaking about his time in MK. “You can’t find this many roundabouts anywhere else around the world.
“Each one has a different kind of banking, it’s really fun! I know which ones are the most enjoyable to drive around in Milton Keynes, ones with good banking and going downhill - it’s nice!”
