Trading Standards warn of new delivery scam in Milton Keynes

A spokesperson for Milton Keynes Trading Standards revealed today (March 31), it received a report from a Milton Keynes resident of a fake delivery text.
The text message encouraged the potential victim to make an online payment of £2.50 for a missed delivery cost.

Hide AdThe spokesperson said: "If you respond to this scam you could end up losing £1000's, not £2.50. Forward scam texts to 7726."
Citizen's Advice, the consumer guidance charity, reported a surge in online scams during the pandemic.
