They challenged "several individuals" on Saturday who had travelled from MK to walk up Snowdon and "enjoy the snow" at the beauty spot.

Officers sent the people home.

Milton Keynes is in tier four, the highest tier of coronavirus related restrictions in England, while Wales is under alert level four. This which means all but essential travel is banned and exercise should start and end at home.

Police across Wales have also been carrying out vehicle stop checks reminding drivers of Welsh Government rules around essential travel.

They have slammed their unwelcome visitors as "selfish".
