School residentials at a Milton Keynes theme park chain climb by 22%
More school pupils are enjoying trips to Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts, joining activities like bushcraft, den building and more.
In the last 11 months, around 9,400 children visited the four theme parks in the Gulliver’s family - Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Bath, Gulliver’s World in Warrington, Gulliver’s Land in Milton Keynes and Gulliver’s Valley in Rotherham.
During residential visits, children are accompanied by teachers on an overnight stay at the theme parks to enjoy a host of activities ranging from bushcraft to den building, and archery to orienteering on scooters.
A recent trip saw 60 pupils from Locking Stumps Community Primary School in Warrington visit Gulliver’s World.

Jamie Vermiglio is headteacher at Locking Stumps. He said: “This was our first visit as a school to Gulliver’s World, and everyone had a wonderful time.
“The activities were ideal for the children, and being able to use the theme park rides too was fantastic. Being together as a group was ideal and the focused timetable was superb, but we could also be flexible to meet the needs of individuals within the group.
“We stayed in Gully’s House and the accommodation was excellent - inclusive, clean and organised.”
Aimed at families with children aged two to 13 years old, Gulliver’s resorts offer a wide range of rides, attractions and entertainment for thrill-seekers to enjoy.
Those looking to extend their stay, can enjoy a super staycation in the theme park’s variety of accommodation, which includes Princess Suites, Dinosaur and Unicorn-themed lodges, Western Lodges, and Woodland Lodges.
Julie Dalton, managing director at Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts, said: “Residential stays are a growth area of our business, and they continue to increase in popularity.
“It’s a great setting for schools, with the right kind of activities on offer, accommodation on site, and the theme park rides and attractions for children to enjoy in their downtime.
“Every school which has visited Gulliver’s Valley or Gulliver’s Kingdom said they would recommend a residential stay at a Gulliver’s Resort. And all our visiting schools said they achieved all or most of their required learning outcomes.”
