Singers from Bedford, Woburn Sands and Milton Keynes help raise £5,500 for Children In Need
Members of The Collaboration Choir joined a surprise flash-mob at Coal Drops Yard at Kings Cross, in support of BBC Children in Need.
The event, led by the nationwide adult pop choir, featured two high-energy sets of contemporary pop hits and reimagined classics, filling Coal Drops Yard with music, fun, and community spirit.
The singers from Bedford, Milton Keynes and Woburn Sands Collaboration Choirs also took part in fancy dress and bake sales to raise funds.
The choir performed on Saturday (November 8) with a set featuring a rendition of the iconic ‘Our House’ by Madness, delighting both performers and the audience.

Madness lead singer, Suggs, said: "Well I never, I heard about 300 people all singing ‘Our House’ together, literally in the middle of the street. You couldn’t make it up. The Collaboration Choir were great and all for Children in Need so dig deep and support."
Collaboration Choir founder, Carrie Rawlings, said: "Music is the great equaliser. It doesn’t care about your job title, your background, or whether you think you’ve got ‘talent’. It simply asks you to show up, be present, and contribute your unique voice to something bigger than yourself.
"On Saturday, hundreds of singers, volunteers, and supporters came together for exactly that – and it was incredible. Since founding The Collaboration Choir, our singers have raised over £40,000 for good causes and we hope our efforts this week will help nurture and support young lives across the UK through Children in Need."
The Collaboration Choir is a nationwide network of adult pop choirs, offering a welcoming, inclusive space for people to sing, collaborate, and perform. With 16 community choirs across the UK and over 800 members, the choir, which was started in 2022, has performed at iconic venues including The Tower of London raising funds for charity.
