Popular Milton Keynes pizza van offers update on relocation ahead of Parks Trust eviction
This local food van is set to be evicted due to an exclusivity deal the charity signed with another company.
A Pizza This, the popular food van in Milton Keynes, has offered an update on its attempt to relocate in the city.
The family-run business is leaving it's popular spot at Willen Lake on May 31, after it claimed the Parks Trust had signed an agreement to give exclusivity to a new restaurant, being built on the site.
Despite a petition from A Pizza This, urging the charity to reconsider, which gained over 2,500 signatures. The Parks Trust stuck to its guns releasing a statement confirming plans to move the van this spring would be upheld.
Now the business is asking for customer support again. On the company Facebook page is a new survey designed to help it choose how best to continue operating. The questionnaire covers customers' eating habits, people's willingness to get involved with crowdfunding and other questions around preferences to help the business runners.
A spokesperson for A Pizza This said: "Your help is needed again. We would like to thank everybody that signed the petition to keep us at Willen Lake but we have been told by the Parks Trust that we will not be staying at Willen. We are however working with them on an alternative location, but looking at alternative models of working
