Dons expected to rotate for trip to Stevenage

"This month is so full on so we will have to manage everyone"

After making five changes on Saturday for the 1-1 draw with Ipswich, Russell Martin is expected to make more changes for Tuesday night's EFL Trophy clash with Stevenage.

While competition rules dictate a certain number of 'first team' players must take to the pitch, Dons could reshuffle their deck, bringing back the likes of Baily Cargill, Warren O'Hora and Jordan Houghton who missed out at the weekend.

Richard Keogh, George Williams and Scott Fraser also played their first 90 minutes of the season against Ipswich so could be rested ahead of Saturday's trip to Portsmouth.

Dons will play seven more games during October, and with the relentlessness of the fixtures in the next few weeks, Martin said there will have to be changes for the trip to the Lamex Stadium.

"There has to be," he said. "The month is so full on so we will have to manage everyone. I'm excited by the fixtures we have. The beauty now is that we are happy with the depth we have compared to last year.

"You can put out two teams we'd be fairly happy with and who can compete. There will be changes, there are rules we have to follow though, and we have another big game on Saturday."
