Summer signings will give MK Dons a new dimension in League One

Dons have made six signings this summer

The new additions through the door at MK Dons could help catapult them into the into contention in League One this season, according to Iain Dowie.

The former West Ham and Crystal Palace striker highlighted the likes of Cardiff City’s Player of the Year Ryan Wintle and ex-Middlesbrough winger Sam Silvera as reasons why Paul Warne’s side will be looked at with concern by the other sides this term.

A fan of the head coach, Dowie, speaking to BettingLounge, said Warne’s prowess in the market this summer will stand Dons in great stead this term.

“Paul Warne is a very good manager, I like him a lot,” Dowie said. “When you look at their signings, like Sammy Silvera and Ryan Wintle, those are big acquisitions for that level. Bringing in Cohen Bramall on a free transfer is also good business.

“I think this is going to be a fascinating year, and I believe Paul realises that he needs to kick on now.

“The stadium is remarkable as well. But the manager is the most important factor at MK Dons, he’s a very good manager. I think the club is in safe hands, and they'll certainly be a real threat this year.”
