Ten-man Dons hold off leaders Bromley to take huge promotion step

Ten-man MK Dons took a huge step towards League One promotion with a massive 2-1 win over leaders Bromley at Stadium MK.

In a sensational first-half performance, Dons led after just 30 seconds through Nathaniel Mendez-Laing before Ben Wiles doubled the lead on 17 minutes.

But a second-half turnaround saw Bromley take the ascendency, and when Jon Mellish was sent off with 22 minutes to go it only added more fuel to the fire. Marcus Ifill fired one back for Bromley with 16 minutes remaining but Dons held on to claim a vital victory.
