Here, we will dish out some slightly more sideways, dubious and probably unwanted prizes from the 2021/22 season at MK Dons.
5. Let Off The Hook Award - Daniel Harvie
There were few happier seeing Scott Twine's deflected effort nestle in the bottom corner of the Lincoln net in stoppage time to turnaround a 2-0 deficit on Boxing Day at Sincil Bank than Daniel Harvie. Trailing to an early Warren O'Hora own goal, Harvie then fell on the ball and expecting a free kick, picked the ball up. Only then did the referee blow his whistle... for a Lincoln penalty for handball. Photo: Jane Russell
6. What Have We Just Seen Award - Alan Young
In one of the most astonishing (ly bad) refereeing performances, Alan Young took centre stage for Dons this season. The same referee who forgot to play stoppage time, and called the players back out of the dressing room to play it in a previous game, he was remarkably allowed to officiate another game and once again stunned those in attendance by sending off Dons' Josh Martin for... we're still not sure. Standing near a Stevenage player was the best we could glean. Rumour has it in Dons' official rating out of 100, the ref ranked in the teens. Photo: Jane Russell
7. Forgotten Screamer Award - Zak Jules
There have been some stunning strikes this season, but one you may have forgotten was Zak Jules' brilliant volley against Wycombe in the Papa John's Trophy. Peeling off at the back post, Jules volleyed home left footed to put Dons 2-1 up at Stadium MK in some style. Photo: Jane Russell
8. Away Day of the Year - Crewe Alexandra
Pitching up at Gresty Road early, overlooking the pitch, the empty stadium and the train station nearby, you could hear the MK Dons supporters arrive before you could see them. Bouncing in the Ice Cream Van Stand all afternoon, they saw their side batter Crewe 4-1 and though the delayed and rescheduled train home was determined to make life difficult for everyone, it felt the liveliest day of the campaign Photo: MK Dons
