Here, we will dish out some slightly more sideways, dubious and probably unwanted prizes from the 2021/22 season at MK Dons.
9. The 1970 World Cup Award - Paul Dixon
BBC 3CR commentator Paul Dixon should be remembered for his epic commentary this season - namely the goals by Theo Corbeanu at Portsmouth and Mo Eisa at Rotherham. One you won't hear though is Connor Wickham's goal to send Dons 2-1 up against his former club Sunderland, but that's through no fault of Dicko. Mired by hardware issues all day, the commentary box gave up just moments before Wickham put Dons in front. As a last resort, Paul pulled out his phone to call in the commentary for the remainder of the game, offering listeners a 'nostalgic' sound Photo: Pete Norton
10. Please Don't Hurt Me Award - Ben Dunning
Two days after Dons' come from behind win at home to Charlton in August, I went to London for a tattoo. In the small-talk had with the artist as we settled in for the five-hour shift, I told Ben what I did for a living. He stopped, looked at me and said "I'm a Charlton fan!" I sensed a painful afternoon was incoming, but he said "How bad were we on Tuesday?!" To my relief, we then spent the next few hours discussing the joys of League One football. 11. Butt of the Joke Award - Antoni Fruncillo
Liam Manning was undoubtedly bored of seeing my face this season, especially given he number of Zoom calls he had to endure this season. But nothing lit up the head coach's face more than poking fun at Head of Communications, Ant. Whether it was his Sunday League exploits, his hand injury or the competitive edge during head tennis sessions, Ant was the source of many friendly giggles before and after press conferences for Manning. 12. Journey of the Season - Plymouth away
"Let's go down the night before, it'll just be easier," we thought when they changed the kick-off time at Plymouth. But an average speed of 29mph, a detour through Bristol and the outer villages later, it did not feel easier or more convenient for myself and BBC 3CR legend Luke Ashmead, who kept me mildly sane during the most trying moments of the journey. It was a mammoth trip which will be remembered for Twine's four goals, the worst services ever experienced and Nigel Quashie (a story which would require another trip to Plymouth to fully explain) Photo: Matt Cardy
