It was organised by Table Tennis England staff member Julie Snowdon, who is also secretary of the centre. Julie said: "This amazing charity has helped me and many other women, and it’s great to be able to give something back, while raising awareness and some much needed funds at the same time."

Fourteen women entered, many of them who attend the monthly ladies-only sessions at the centre. The emphasis was on fun and fair play with two group rounds culminating in a main event and consolation final.
