Milton Keynes to turn gold this September in powerful solidarity with local families battling childhood cancer
Landmarks across Milton Keynes will glow gold this month as the city unites to mark Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and support the vital work of The Henry Allen Trust.

Milton Keynes City Council is leading the community campaign by illuminating key local buildings in gold on both 1st September and 30th September. The initiative, titled Light Up Gold for Henry, aims to shine a spotlight on the journeys of local children diagnosed with cancer, honouring their bravery while rallying vital community support.
Local businesses, organisations, and community hubs across Milton Keynes are now being invited to join the movement and turn the city into a beacon of gold throughout September.

How Local Workplaces Can Get Involved
Taking part is simple, and organisations of any size can show their solidarity through a variety of creative displays:
Illumination: Light up your building’s exterior or illuminate main reception entrances in gold or warm yellow.
Digital Displays: Feature a gold company logo, campaign graphic, or message of support on reception screens and social channels.
Window Displays: Decorate front-facing windows or office spaces with gold ribbons, banners, or balloons.
Every gesture—large or small—helps ensure that children battling cancer and their families know their community stands firmly behind them.
Supporting Local Families
For businesses and residents unable to light up their premises, direct donations can be made online to ensure The Henry Allen Trust can continue delivering emotional, practical, and financial support to families in need across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas:
