Cymon Robinson, Dan St Hilaire and Michael Crake received their awards as part of the National House Building Council’s (NHBC) annual Pride in the Job competition, which recognises good practice in the housebuilding industry.

The trio are part of a select group of just 13 site managers in the NHBC’s Central region to receive a Seal of Excellence this year, having been among 47 candidates to qualify for this stage of the competition after winning a Quality Award in June.

Cymon, Project Manager at Bellway’s Weavers Fields development in Desborough, has now won a Seal of Excellence three years running.

He said: “Winning a Seal of Excellence takes a huge amount of dedication, commitment and hard work from every single member of the site team. To win three in a row is a fantastic achievement and shows that we have been able to maintain extremely high standards over a sustained period of time.”

Dan, Site Manager at Bellway’s New Cardington Fields development in Bedford, said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to achieve a second consecutive Seal of Excellence. The award is testament to the hard work put in day in day out both by the team on site and back at the divisional office. I could not be prouder.”

Michael, Senior Site Manager at Bellway’s Chamberlains Heath development in Leighton Buzzard said: “Building a strong team is the key to running a successful site. That’s what we have been able to do at Chamberlains Heath and the results speak for themselves. The support from the wider Bellway team has also been excellent. Everyone is pulling in the same direction and that makes a massive difference.”

Now in their 45th year, the Pride in the Job awards are among the most prestigious in the housebuilding industry. Judging is a rigorous process which encompasses every aspect of a site manager’s responsibilities, including consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and health and safety.

Iain Hunter, Head of Construction for Bellway Northern Home Counties, said: “Success in the Pride in the Job awards is part of Bellway’s strategic focus on quality so we are extremely proud to have delivered another strong performance in the Central region this year with three of our site managers winning a Seal of Excellence. The achievements of Cymon, Dan and Michael in winning back-to-back Seals demonstrates their passion, dedication and unrelenting commitment to building homes of the highest quality for their customers.”
