Milton Keynes hospital celebrates over 1,600 years of service from long-serving staff

Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Trust (MKUH) has honoured 58 dedicated colleagues whose combined 1,665 years of unbroken service to the hospital have helped shape care for patients across Milton Keynes and beyond.

The trust’s annual Long Service Awards recognised 35 colleagues with 25 years of unbroken service, a further 11 who marked 30 years of service, ten more who notched up 35 years and two colleagues who have dedicated a remarkable 40 years to caring for MKUH patients.

Speaking about her 40 year-long working life at MKUH, Quality Improvement Nurse Denise Campbell, said: "Looking back, it is the people, the opportunities and being able to contribute to improving care for children and families that have made my career here so rewarding.

“One of the main reasons I have stayed at the Trust for so many years is the opportunities I have been given to grow, both professionally and personally. Over the years, I have continued to be supported to develop and explore new opportunities, eventually moving into quality and governance."
